The Carry-On Traveller Blog Tour Roundup

Two weeks ago I released my book, The Carry-On Traveller: The Ultimate Guide to Packing Light. The launch went so much better than I expected, and I even managed to pay off all my book expenses (Grammarly, proofreader, cover) in the first few days. Thank you to everyone who bought the book, left a review on Amazon, and shared it on social media. You have all been so supportive!

The book was even featured as a hot new travel release on Amazon!

To celebrate the launch, I organised a virtual book tour with guest posts, interviews, and book reviews on blogs around the web, all sharing packing light tips.

WEEK 1: 4-10 April

Too Many Adapters – An interview with us about the travel technology we use to work on the road (and manage to fit in our carry-ons!).

My GTD System – A review of the book with a GTD (Getting Things Done) focus.

Nomadtopia – Amy interviewed me for her podcast and we chatted about packing light, tracking travel expenses, and our digital nomad life. I love the long-form informal format of her podcast and definitely recommend it for aspiring or current nomads.

Y Travel Blog – I wrote a guest post about how to pack carry-on only for any trip, whether you are a fashionista, photographer, or travelling to cold weather.

Till The Money Runs Out – A review of the book. Jenny says, “Even after traveling with just a carry-on for five years I felt inspired to go through my bag after reading her book, taking out a few of the items I had “just in case” to drop another kilo from my bag.”

WEEK 2: 11-18 April

Anywhereism – A detailed review including Mirje’s favourite tips from the book (such as layering clothes and trying a simpler beauty regime) and an interview with me where I share the number one item I couldn’t live without.

Nomad is Beautiful – In this interview, I discuss why we decided to travel carry-on only, how the decision cured us of any desire to go shopping, what we do about souvenirs, and lots more.

Burger Abroad – Amanda shares her ultralight carry-on packing list. She does a lot better than us and travels with just 5 kg (11 lb)!

Indefinite Adventure – Read Sam and Zab’s digital nomad tips for Taiwan including what to pack.

Double-Barrelled Travel – Carmen discusses her gradual journey to packing lighter and her key takeaways from the book including how packing less is about changing your mindset, the advantage of solid toiletries, and making sure all your clothes match.

Go Backpacking – A book review by LC who says, “I’ll be incorporating the knowledge I’ve gained from reading The Carry-On Traveller: The Ultimate Guide to Packing Light into my next adventure abroad and hopefully save myself some time, money and stress in the process.”

Dream Travel Girl – An interview with me about the technology we pack, how we keep things organised, and whether I think carry-on travel is possible for everyone.

The Yoga Nomads – In this interview I discuss our nomadic life including its challenges and how we stay healthy on the road.

Thank you so much to all the fantastic hosts on the blog tour!
