Medellin has an ideal location for day trips into the surrounding countryside to visit many beautiful pueblos. Last week we took the two hour bus ride to Guatapé, a pretty village of narrow streets and colourful houses. The patterns on the lower half of the houses are actually 3D and are all different.

Oh! I missed this when I was there, damn!
An excuse to go back!
Oh how I love the colors of Latin America!
Me too! There are a number of colourful pueblos in the area that we are looking forward to exploring.
Looks like a place that I’d love to visit…
It’s an easy day trip from Medellin, so if you ever come to Colombia it’s worth a visit.

I keep going back to colombia as every time I go I discover something new to see. I love peace and tranquility of places like Jardin, SantaFe d’Antioquia,La Ceja,Guatape..and the list can go on and on. Every time I go I get the feeling am going back in time and it has always been a wonderful experience . I will retire to Jardin and am already looking for a new home there.
